Goodreads Summary

""Wuthering Heights", Emily Bronte's only novel, is one of the pinnacles of 19th-century English literature. It's the story of Heathcliff, an orphan who falls in love with a girl above his class, loses her, and devotes the rest of his life to wreaking revenge on her family.

My Take:

Ok now i know this book is very well written but i just couldn't like it. The characters are horrible to each other, nothing really happens expect for hate and incest.

It took me 5 months to read this book, and i could remember everything that happened from the time i read it before. This is because nothing happens. Its the same moaning, crying, depression and hatred.

The only thing that saved the book from a 1 rating was the writing and Ellen.

Spoilers:

The 6 characters throughout the book and incest right left and center just wasn't doing it for me.

Favourite Quote:

"If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger."
