Ryan Mertz by Nicky Emmerson | Retrospective

 

 

Following Gigolo, we bring you the second character that Ryan Mertz embodies in ‘The Mertz Issue’ of Emmerson Hodge magazine. Photographed by Nicky Emmerson, the editorial Retrospective finds Ryan evoking memories of rock ‘n roll King, Elvis Presley.

Drawing inspiration from Richard Gere’s 1980 movie American Gigolo, Ryan Mertz stars as a man who plays for pay in the editorial ‘Gigolo’ by Nicky Emmerson. The story is one of three Ryan/Nicky editorials in the first issue of Emmerson Hodge, a new magazine created by photographer Nicky Emmerson and art director Ashley Hodge. The issue is dubbed ‘The Mertz Issue’ and it’s ALL about Ryan.
